Hey! I’m Kelly – Founder of Kelly Mitchell Prints & Patterns!
After two years of running predominantly as an interior design studio (known as Mitchell & Co. Interiors Ltd), and having had the privilege of working on some amazing interiors projects, the time has now come for an exciting new direction!
This year has shown me the absolute joy I find in being able to create my own prints and patterns. I never imagined being able to launch my own fabrics and homewares and yet with some hard work and imagination, the dream of starting a tiny boutique grew into launching my own collection! Now that this path has started I am so excited to see where it can go, and have decided to follow this joy and fully focus on building this side of the business. To mark this exciting new direction, over the next couple of months the business will be rebranding into Kelly Mitchell Prints & Patterns…..woohoo!!
One big factor in this change has been that as of September 2023, we have become a ‘home educating’ family…..something we have wanted to do since the boys were very young! With this new change in lifestyle had to come a new way of working – acknowledging that as a team of 1 I simply cant give my best to everything. Design projects take up a lot of mental space and time, which is so worth it when you see the finished results, but not something I can now do with two boys at home.
Activity over this autumn/winter period will be fairly quiet whilst I focus on all the ‘behind the scenes’ stuff, along side renovating my own home and along with it, my studio. I am itching to get stuck into things and work on all the new products, patterns and ideas I have in mind and can’t wait to share it all with you as they slowly come to life between now and spring 2024.

I’ll share each exciting update as it happens…..but until then, you’ll find me trying to figure out how I can turn my temporary Air BnB home into a makeshift studio so that I can start creating again!! The creativity FOMO is real!!
